“Sounds like a sports bar, looks like a pub, tastes like a fine dining restaurant.” That's how Proprietor Vernon Grandgeorge describes Joe Theismann's Steakhouse. Indeed, the Alexandria, VA. restaurant offers a little something for everyone. With a menu that ranges from simple sandwiches to elegantly prepared entrees and an atmosphere that is both comfortable and friendly, Joe Theismann's Steakhouse is a hit with locals, tourists, celebrities...even the former Redskins quarterback himself.
One thing you won't find here are cotton table linens. They were replaced on the roster by Signature Plus in April 2000. “I was tossing away one-in-three cotton napkins because of fraying or staining,” says Vernon. “With Signature Plus I haven't had that problem. It feels natural, like cotton, but it's always clean and fresh looking when we get it back from the laundry.”
Vernon also likes how Signature Plus keeps its shape. “Cotton would never stay square, making it hard to fold,” he says. “Signature Plus is always square and makes a much better presentation. It's a keeper.” After three years, Signature Plus has established itself as a star player at Joe Theismann's steakhouse.
